I Like The Fact You Use A Virtual Box For Windows… But The Installation Process Of Ubuntu Is Actually Faster Than Installing It Onto To A Virtual Box, And Booting Ubuntu From A Live CD Is Even Faster… So I Wouldnt Really Reccomend Using Ubuntu On A Virtual Machine Unless Your Making A Tutorial, Using A Screen Recorder, In Which You Will Need To Shut Down Your “Computer”. Dont Take This As Me Criticising You Though =] I Like The Video

I think VMWare has Appliances that work in the same way, I can’t post links in the comments though so you will have to google.

Very cool website. Know anything similar (and as good) for vmware products? The snapshotting idea is also good when running an application that *might* be a virus and you can’t decide whether or not to trust your AV software. The reverting back to previous state is very good idea. Usually I disable snapshots but I think I will have to start using them now!

Sheez… But I’m sure to run this kinda stuff, you have to have some serious processing power. I’ve noticed on Mac, Virtual PC takes a notable bite of power out of a 1.8, for example.
Nice going, will look into this eventually.

diablo9333 on Sat, 20th Feb 2010 8:16 pm
It says “failed to create virtual machine”. I have to create the vm like 20 times for it to work. It is very annoying.
mobilephone2003 on Sat, 20th Feb 2010 8:54 pm

mobilephone2003 on Sat, 20th Feb 2010 9:29 pm
you create a virtual drive (just a file on your computer that gets bigger as you use it) when you make the virtual machine
