Hardware Wars…Hilarious…Stars animator Jeff Hale (who created the Thank You Mask Man characters) as Augie Ben Doggie, musician/producer Scott Free in the Luke Skywalker role, and my pal, photographer Bob Knickerbocker as Ham Salad. Best of all, a night club I used to run, the Palms Cafe in San Francisco, doubles for the freaky bar.

I saw this as a kid, I believe in 1978 on The Captain Cosmic Show on KTVU hosted by the late, affable wonderful host Mr. Bob Wilkins (R.I.P.) this ridiculous movie ha ha ha : ) Thumb me down if you wish folks, but it’s far more funny, imho, than Mel Brook’s late on arrival Space Balls. True.

Did anyone notice the 1138 and “I have a bad feeling about this”? How is this possible? How did the guys know that they would become a trademark in the later films????

I believe the only place you’ll find it is on an old (1978) Warners Brothers release called HARDWARE WARS and Other Film Farces.

This finally crawled out from the recesses of my memory and thanks to you, Michael , I’ve laughed and cried without kissing three bucks goodbye. Thank you. The image that came back to me and drew me here was Hans and the Wookie Monster. After watching it I realize how imbedded in my mind the scenes are. Yeah, Hans’ first expression…hahahaa
